"Throwing Life Forward"
Dimensions: 20"x15.75"
Materials: Acrylic Paint on Canvas, Colored Pencils on Sketchbook Paper applied with Crafting Glue, Marker
Idea(s): Started on this the first week of freshman year in college as a cultivation of the many feelings that were pressing in on me. This piece shows my life depicted as a disc headed for the basket(future), as in the game of disc golf. The disrupted fawn can be seen as innocence fleeing my life(childhood), and the number eight leading to the next hole represents new beginnings. The banner draped in the tree/grass shows the school I will be attending, but it is blown down as in feelings of dismay/confusion.
